Song Of The Day: M83- Graveyard Girl

I am a bit behind the curve with the works of Anthony Gonzales. But I will certainly make an effort to investigate the back catalog of his M83 moniker after hearing the new single, Graveyard girl. It blends 80’s nostalgia with the perfect balance of irony and innovation to keep it fresh and vital. It’s sound textures reference equally The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, and Panda Bear. Upon cranking the speakers and pontificating on its righteous crescendos, I envision cheesy time lapse photography, light brights, and bike rides in the dark. The new M83 album comes out April 15th, so mark it on your calender and pick it up, it will certainly be the soundtrack to your spring. For now, check out this fresh tune:
