John Frusciante: A Man Of Magnificance

So my friend Bill turned me on to this guy called John Frusciante. I had no idea what to expect from the Chilis guitarist with a tumultuous past. It turns out he is one of the most innovative and soulful songwriters of the past two decades, with an impressive body of work that draws equally from artists such as Devendra Banhart and Jimi Hendrix. The two songs i have for today are from the “Brown Bunny” soundtrack. “Forever Away” is absolutely haunting, combining John’s signature howl with intricate guitar weavings. “Falling” is an absolute mindfuck of guitar accomplishment. So please indulge if you haven’t yet given John Frusciante to invade your world and make it a lot sweeter sounding.

Have you listened to the albums he’s done in Ataxia? That’s great stuff too.
